Bron Afon signed up to the Zero Racism Wales campaign

We have signed the Zero Racism Wales campaign. You too can sign it as an individual.

We have signed up to the Zero Racism Wales campaign. Race Council Cymru is calling on organisations to commit to its zero-tolerance policy to racism in Wales.

The policy, aimed towards business leaders in Wales, calls on organisations to ensure that no job applicant, visitor, or guest of an organisation receives less favourable treatment on any grounds.

We now appear on a list on the Zero Racism Wales website of all the organisations who have made the commitment so they too can be  held  accountable.

Alan Brunt our chief executive said: “Every year we support 1,000s of people who need our services and receive hundreds of job applications.

We are committed to treating every single person fairly and with respect. Our colleagues are proud to work for an organisation with these values and this campaign is one we are proud to support.

Individuals can also sign a pledge to show their support and increase awareness amongst members of the public

Judge Ray Singh, CBE and Chair of Race Council Cymru, said: “Racial inequalities continue to blight the lives of ethnic minority communities across Wales – this is not acceptable. We are calling on all organisations to take a stand to eradicate racism and discrimination in their organisations; the future generations depend on this pledge. Let us take action together today to make Wales fairer and safer.”
